AREA OF WORK AND APPROACH
Dakshita is a Counselling Psychologist primarily looking at individual counselling. Her idea is to create a safe and comfortable space for the individual to express themselves and facilitate the navigation process in a way that empowers the client and fosters their overall growth and self-discovery. She specialises in areas of personal growth, stress management, relationship concerns and addiction. She is also looking at adolescent counselling and related arenas. She works from a trauma informed lens and incorporates CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness and elements of art to her practice.
Dakshita has co-facilitated several workshops and sessions for young adults and children at Limelighting Life Collective, a Delhi based Mental Health Organisation. Dakshita is currently associated with Skillopedia-The Academic Parent as a consultant Psychologist where she is heading the Research team and is engaged with product development, psychometric work, formulation of sessions and client work. Additionally, she is also working as a Consultant Psychologist at Anamkaaruh- Therapy Care and Counselling. Dakshita has been teaching students in the capacity of a freelance teacher for the last 6 years where she infuses creative approaches to the subjects she teaches while incorporating real life experiences and life skills. She has interned at various organisations like Teach for India, VIMHANS, Udayan Care, Dreaming Child, Unique Psychological Services and Four Steps to name a few. A continuous learner, she wishes to upgrade her skills by attending sessions, workshops and online courses. On other days, you can find Dakshita immersed in reading her hauled up books, painting, walking through the streets of Delhi and enjoying any food she can get her hands on.
