Who moved my cheese

Ever viewed your life as a maze and yourself as a tiny mouse scavenging your way through the obstacles with a crystal clear image of your cheese as the final destination?

If your answer is affirmative, then this is the book you'd want to pick for your next read. The book essentially brings home one major point, the fact that change is essential for life. The moment we resist change, we cease growth and what the future holds for us.

An intriguing metaphor is that of the cheese here. We all have things we wish to achieve, things we desire and things we simply want to have. However, the moment we view that as the be all and end all, we seem to fixate on it. This fixation in turn leads to frustration and irritation, bringing an almost end to everything around. The idea is thus to view the variety of cheese on our way, perhaps paying attention to the cheddar, a bit of mozzarella and not to forget the gouda. For once we begin to see life and its circumstances as changing, we accept that things may not always go according to the way we've charted them out.

Not only does this provide us with the opportunity to seek for alternate avenues but also to laugh at our own selves and the situations that arise. In turn, once the ability to not take oneself seriously is mastered, nothing in life is a problem, for the lens we view things in life with automatically changes.
